Man Utd vs Tottenham – Premier League

Pick: AH Manchester Utd -1.5 @ 2.40 in Bet365 / Result: (3-1)
I felt obligated to make a pick for the United game. Last week I did a pick for their game against their rival City, where I said that they were unmotivated and almost out of the title fight. In the meantime, Manchester United won their game and Chelsea lost theirs and the title fight is still open. Alex Ferguson did bluff on the last game and said the title was out of United reach, but he proves that himself was wrong and they are back on the track.
Talking now about this match, I hope good quality where the home team will control the game. Manchester is in the title race, as I already said, and Tottenham is fighting for the 4th place to reach the Champions League. Both teams are fighting for their primary goals and this game will be extremely important for both. United don’t lose to Tottenham for the League in 17 years and I think this game won’t break that sequence.
Starting for the home team, Manchester United is in the second place with one point less than the first placed, Chelsea, when there are three games left for the end of the championship. As I said, the United team won a new soul with the victory against their rival City with a late goal from Paul Scholes. It was a balanced game where the United experience was very important. The team has their major star, Wayne Rooney, back on the team and he is making and awesome season (26 goals on the league). For this game they won’t count with Danny Welbeck, Anderson and Michael Owen. However, Rio Ferdinand is back.
Probably starting line up: Van der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Valencia, Fletcher, Scholes, Giggs, Berbatov, Rooney.
Talking now about the away team, Tottenham is very motivated after their excellent home win against Chelsea by 2 – 1 (Defoe and Bale scored). The team from London is on the 4th place, with two points advantage from City. I am sure that Tottenham will do everything not to lose this match, witch maintains them on the 4th place. For this game, their manager Harry Redknapp will not count with Niko Kranjcar, Jonathan Woodgate and Carlo Cudicini. On the other hand, the English winger Aaron Lennon and the midfielder Jermaine Jenas are back on the team.
Probably starting line up: Gomes, Bassong, Kaboul, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Bentley, Modric, Huddlestone, Bale, Defoe, Crouch.
Conclusion: I hope a game where the home team will have the control of the match against a team more defensive trying to explore the counter attack where they are extremely dangerous. I think that with the help of the amazing crowd of Old Trafford and with the extra motivation because of their new chance to get the title, United should win this game and make more than one goal. So my bet will be for Manchester United to win by 2 goals or more.
