Portugal vs Cameroon – Friendly 

This Tuesday by 19:30 will be played in the Sport Complex of Covilhã a friendly game between Portugal and Cameroon.

It’s a preparation game for the World Cup 2010 and both teams will try what they have trained, and individually, every player will try to prove to the manager that they deserve a spot in the starting team.

The home team Portugal will try to change the image of the last game where they draw 0 – 0 against Cape Verde. The last game of Cameroon was against Slovakia and ended with 1 – 1.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Samuel Eto’o are the stars in Portugal and Cameroon respectively. In the last game against Cape Verde we expect lot of goals but that didn’t happen and the final result was 0 – 0.

But in this game against Cameoon, Portugal will be stronger and I think hey will do everything to win. It will be an open game and I think that the away team can also score goals.

Portugal:

For this 2010 World Cup, it’s one of the more important teams to pass the group stage and to achieve quarterfinals or semi finals. The Portuguese crowd have lot of hope in their team, but with the last bad results a lot say that the blamed is Carlos Queiroz.

I also don’t like very much Carlos Queiroz and don’t understand his selection, like the fact that João Moutinho is not on the squad, but I have to support the team and believe. All the players will fight and despite some don’t believe, I believe in this team. Lets talk a little bit about the games, as I already said, Portugal draw the last one against Cape Verde.

I saw the game and honestly, if they play like that in South Africa they won’t pass the group stage but I believe in a changing and the Portuguese players have a word to say in this World Cup. The other friendly was against China where they won by 2 – 0.

Portuguese team had a very hard qualification, but they make it and they are in the World Cup. I believe in Portugal victory in this game and they are better than the African team and the Portuguese players will try to change the opinion of the fans and if possible, play a good football. The Portuguese team has a 4 win and 1 draw record in the last games and i believe hat they win tomorrow and with a lot of goals. There are very good players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Liedson, Nani and Simão. There is a very good midfield and defence so they just need guts to win.

Cameroon:

They are the African team in the better place in the FIFA ranking, Samuel Eto’o is the star and scored 9 goals in 11 games in the qualification. I don’t say that he is the only good player there is also Pierre Webo, Jean Makoun, Stephane Mbia, Alexander Song, Geremi and the goalkeeper Kameni.

I don’t know very well this team but with the players they have, they can make a lot of difficulties in this game. They don’t have the same quality that Portugal has but they have a good team and good players. Lets see the last games of Cameroon:

They have a negative record in the last games with 3 draws, 1 loss and 1 victory only. I don’t believe that hey beat Portugal but they can make problems and I think that they will score at least one goal. I believe in Cameroon players, especially Samuel Eto’o. The Portugal defence has to be alert to this player. Concluding I expect a game with goals and he bet with value in my opinion is the over.
