Manchester’s derby arrived and will put two title candidates face to face.

Manchester City was the first team to beat Chelsea away this Season and will play against Utd., which hasn’t lost yet. To keep fighting for the title, City will need the 3 points, getting as many points as Utd. (23) and keeping pressure on the leader Chelsea. A millionaire team full of star players playing at home against a struggling team and not very strong when playing away.

The only Loss by City this Season when playing at home was the 0-3 against Arsenal, in a match where the 6 minute red card to Boyata made a big twist in the match’s story, even though City kept creating good opportunities. Silva in the midfield is playing very well, assisting Tevez a lot, which is one of the best goalscorers of the League, and this Argentinian scored twice against Utd. last year, which is his former team.

Manchester United begins the match as the only undefeated team, but besides that fact, they have been conceding a lot of goals away (8). From the 5 matches away, Utd. only won 1 and tied 4. With a limited team due to the injuries, I predict Fergunson will come into this game afraid from City, whom has a lot ofgood players available to fill every place in the field, so a good bet would be the under 2.5 goals. But in the last season, 3 of the 4 matches between these teams were over 2.5 goals.

Nani, Rooney, Valência, Giggs, Hargreaves and Owen are injured for this game and I believe the team will suffer from the absence of Nani in the field, since Rooney, Giggs and Valencia are injured quite a while now and the team has been playing well without them. The only match between these teams which ended with under 2.5 goals was in City’s field for the League, so analysing these team’s position in the table and the importance of not losing points will lead them to make a patience game, trying to take advantage of the opponent’s mistakes.

This derby in Manchester, besides being important to both clubs, it’s also important for both supporters and I believe both teams will think about that. However, on the other side will be a powerful and experient opponent. Playing at home City always plays for a win and shows who is in charge. With their supporters putting pressure against the visitors, I believe they’re almost obliged to win this game. The ammount of goals Utd. has suffered lately are more than sufficient to give a lot of value to the home team. I believe the attacking players from City are extremely dangerous against every team and with a pretty nervous defence from Utd. I believe the citizens will take advantage so my bet goes to the home side.
