Netherlands vs Denmark – World Cup 2010

Front to front it will be, for me, the two best teams of the Group E. From one side we have Netherlands, candidate to win this World Cup 2010, mostly because of their form and the quality of their players. On the other side we have Denmark, that after 6 years of absence, wants to left their name marked in this World Cup.

The star of the danish side, without any discussion, is the forward of Arsenal, Nicklas Bendtner. On the dutch side, the star is Robben, without doubt. But an injury on a friendly match, when trying to dodge another player against Hungary will keep him away from this opening match. Unfortunately, because Robben is the best player of this “Clockwork Orange”. That doens’t mean that Netherlands will lose this game. They have other players capable of making the diference, names like Joris Mathijsen, Andre Ooijer, Dirk Kuyt, Mark van Bommel, Klaas Jan Huntelaar, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Rafael van der Vaart, Robin van Persie, Nigel De Jong and Wesley Sneidjer are names to be aware by their opponents. This is the second game of the 2010 World Cup with the team of France that made a bad preparation for this world cup.

The team of Raymond Domenech hasn’t played very well in the preparation games and the France supporters are not very confident. The big lost of this team is Benzema, that is not on the manager squad.

Something I don’t understand, but Domenech has his reasons. I think that France will make a bad World Cup and won’t get further than the group stage. They will face Uruguay that made a good preparation and I think that they and Mexico will get the next stage.

Portugal vs Mozambique – Friendly

Here we have the first game of the Portuguese team in South Africa, but this is still a friendly game against the team of Mozambique.

The game will be tomorrow at 15:30 in Johannesburg. I don’t think that the Portuguese team will play so good as they did against Cameroon because the World Cup is closer and they don’t want to risk getting some players injury. A friendly is a game to give some pace to the players.

The players that won’t be in the starting line up tomorrow, when they go into the game, they will give everything they got to show the manager that they have value. Against Cape Verde the Portuguese team did a very bad game but they have done a good exhibition against Cameroon where they won by 3 – 1 and the Portuguese fans believe now in their team.

This Tuesday by 19:30 will be played in the Sport Complex of Covilhã a friendly game between Portugal and Cameroon.

It’s a preparation game for the World Cup 2010 and both teams will try what they have trained, and individually, every player will try to prove to the manager that they deserve a spot in the starting team.

The home team Portugal will try to change the image of the last game where they draw 0 – 0 against Cape Verde. The last game of Cameroon was against Slovakia and ended with 1 – 1.

I predict a game with a lot of difficulties for Sporting, but I still believe they can win. Leiria still dreams with the 5th place and if they win this game and the other teams lose, its very possible for them to achieve that place. Game where if Benfica win they can be champions if Braga lose points. For this game I just see Benfica, the stadium should be full and the team of Olhanense that is on 14th place shouldn’t have nothing to say in this match. Olhanense needs points to assure the maintenance, but it won’t be on this match. To Benfica only the victory matters and wait for Braga to lose points and celebrate the title. I believe in a home win at least for two goals. I don’t see the away team doing something on this match. I see a game with a lot of goals and I predict a 4 – 0 win.

This Sunday, will be faced Académica de Coimbra and Benfica. The game will be important for both teams because both need points.
