It’s another NBA night, with the New York Knicks facing the Miami Heat. Two teams that have different ambitions, but might provide a great basketball game. Two teams that are in very good shape and so, it’s expected to be an exciting match. The favouritism is given to the Miami team, which is natural, but I think that the New York team is capable to discuss the game with the Heat.
The New York Knicks are, at this moment, well underway to access the playoffs, with a record of 16 wins and 10 losses. This team is in great shape, winning 8 games in a row, before the defeat against the Boston Celtics by 118-116. The Knicks have discussed the game until the end, but a basket from Paul Pierce in the last second, ruined everything (threw it all way). The key players for the team were once again Amar’e Stoudemire, with 39 points and 10 rebounds, and Raymond Felton, with 26 points and 16 assists. After facing one of the best teams in the league, tonight they will face another title contender. It will be, for sure, a very tough game against Read More

I’ll opt for a performance in the Lakers star, Kobe Bryant. For many the best player in the world today and always.
Well in the first game that was held in Los Angeles Lakers, the team beated the Celtics 102-89. Kobe Bryant played a short time, 38 Read More

The Lakers leave this game with a victory and a loss at home, which is bad. The series is tied 1-1 and the Boston have two games at home to do the 3-1. In the last meeting between the teams Boston beat Lakers 103-94 in Los Angeles. Ray Allen was the MVP of the game with 32 points, recall that the range was 27 if I remember correctly.
Well, some people say that the Lakers were stolen, which marked absence from Kobe are not failures but that is no excuse for the loss the team of Los Angeles. If it happened that the team should have proved that also Read More

The final of the best Basketball in the World has, in my opinion, the two best teams of NBA this season. Some others deserve also to be here, but these two teams were the strongest thanks to their teamwork and also thanks to their individualities that had the ability to solve games.
I think that this series will be wonderful to see. For me the decision of the final will be made in small details. After some hot playoffs with difficult opponents in both sides, the final will gave us lot of emotions, and we can’t forget the fatigue of both teams, specially Boston that had more games and all of them in a great level.
Way into the final:

Sixth game of the Eastern Conference Final, where the Boston Celtics receive the Orlando Magic. After five games the Boston are leading by 3 – 2. This has been a series with a lot of surprises, after Boston won three straight games (two of them in Orlando), the Magic team recovered and won the next two. I hope a very disputed game, that is crucial for both teams.
The Boston Celtics have played worst in the last games and that is one of the reasons for the two defeats against Orlando. In the fourth game they were able to fight for the game with Orlando, but in the fifth game they were just crushed. The FG of the team wasn’t very good and also their game near the basket where they just got 26 rebounds, against 43 rebounds of Magic team. If in the offensive plan they were bad, they weren’t also very good in defence that was one of their strongest qualities in their game. The team conceded 113 points and lot of long shots, they weren’t able to stop Howard. In the last game the best scorer Read More

The Magics were able to delay a little lit more this eastern finals. They started as favorites, but were shutdown in their first 2 home games. In that point, some people still believing that the Magics could bounce back. But when the game 3 took place at Boston, the final hopes that people had for Magics were gone. The Magics are already a defeated team, they are without any will and confidence. But then, they were able to win the fourth game, delaying the decision. Knowing that it could be probably be their last game, the team were able to win in OT against a team that gave too much spaces, thinking that the series were over.
For the Magics, only Howard is a reliable player in this series. His edge is the only edge that the Magics are showing, but unfortunately for him, he can´t fight against Perkins and Read More

In the fourth game of the Western Conference Finals the Phoenix Suns will match up the LA Lakers. It is the second game which takes place in Phoenix, after one played on the previous Sunday. The Lakers are leading the series 3-1 over The Suns, having lost the preceding game. At first, my prospect was to watch some great basketball games and that is precisely what the viewers have been getting so far. To this next one, I expect nothing less than a heavily disputed game. However, I believe there will be a different winner on this Sunday’s match.
The Phoenix Suns lost the first two games and only won the third. Nevertheless, they played surprisingly strong defense during that ball game. I think this is not that bad considering The Suns haven’t put much of an emphasis on defense in the past. They manage to hold down their defense line, to establish an offensive rhythm and to slow down Lakers’ players. As a result, the team suffered fewer points. It was a Read More

Surprisingly we arrive to the 4th game of the Eastern Conference Final and the Boston Celtics are leading by 3 – 0. When everybody knew about the clash between the Magic and the Celtics, the Magic were the big favourites. The Magic made a very good regular season with a 59 – 23 record, only with the Cavaliers with a better record in their Conference.
The Celtics did a good regular season but not awesome and that’s one of the reason for the Magic favouritism. However, the Celtics have shown that they are the better team and they have a 3 – 0 Read More

The Celtics are showing in this playoffs what they were unable to show during the regular season. They are playing much better, and after dispatch Lebron and his Cavaliers team, were able to won the 2 first games in the Eastern Final. That is particularly good, because has Doc Rivers says, the Magic´s were the team playing better in this playoffs, as it shows their results of 8-0 until this eastern final. However, and as dogs, the Celtics were able to snap not one game, but two, at Orlando.
The Celtics will prepare their game based on what the Magics will have to do. The Celtics are being bombarded by their coach to not forget that nothing is already won, and a 2-0 is nothing against the Read More

They were able to shutdown the Jazz´s by 4-0, a really good result, as the arena at Salt Lake City is never an easy spot to win a game, but they managed to win 2 in a row. Their offense is playing really good, with an average of 51% in the series against the Jazz and game 1 against the Suns. At home, they are the kind of them that never refuses a run and gun pace, they have good players for it, including their bench. Against the Suns is Read More

Boston Celtics: The team of Boston got a record of 50-32 in the regular season. Away from home they are very good with 26 victories in 41 games. This Boston is made for playoffs where the experience of their players is very important in this phase of the season. Players like Pierce, Garnett, Wallace, Allen and others made this team a very good team. In this playoffs they beat Miami Heat by 4 – 1, then the Cleveland of Lebron and Shaq where they lost the first game away from home but won de second getting the home advantage.
In the next two home games hey lost game 3 and won game 4, losing the home advantage. But once again they were very good away from home winning game 5 and closing the series in the game 6 at home. This Boston Read More

Phoenix Suns: The team of Suns during the regular season had a 54 – 28 record. Away from home they were okay with 22 victories in 41 games getting the 3rd place of the conference, behind Lakers. Stoudmire is very strong and important for this team.
The guard is Steve Nash that made an awesome season with 16.5 points and 11 assists per game. But the real surprise in this team in playoffs is Jason Richardson with 21.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and a 3point Read More

Boston will host today the Cavs thinking that today they have a gold opportunity to end this series and go through it. If they won tonight, they will play the conference finals against the Orlando Magics.
However, if they lose today, they will have to play a game 7 on the road, This series are being extremely balanced, with both teams alternating wins until the last 2 games, where the Celtics were able to snap 2 wins in a row. In 3 home games, the Cavs lost 2, mostly due to a bad defense and low power in the paint. However, they were able to win 1 of 2 road games, having tonight the chance to won the Read More

No, only the unders were the kind of games as we should expect and easy bets. The first over, was due to a bounce back, and was lost by few points. In that game, the Cavs had a great third quarter with lots of points in their bounce back, in order to grant the win.
The other over was an abnormal game. There is no chance to see another game as that one, even thinking that the bookies are giving a big spread for Read More

Tonight’s game is determinant in Utah Jazz aspirations. The last defeat in Salt Lake City after a failed shot by Matthews can cost them the entire season, but I don’t believe that they will give up (despite their chances are minimum). Today in Salt Lake, their proud and professionalism is on the line, so as their believe. But in the other side there are the Lakers.
For me, they are once again the favourites to win the Conference, and who knows the ring of Champions, they don’t want to delay for much long this series. Koby Bryant said that they want to win the fastest they Read More

Phoenix Suns bench are : Jared Dudley, Channing Frye, Leandro Barbosa, Goran Dragic and Louis Amundson.

If there were any questions, it would be more probable a 2-0 for the Celtics than for the Cavaliers. It seems that will happen the same from last season: the Cavs being a big contenders, with high expectations, but unable to reach the title.
We should give the credits that the Celtics deserve. If in game one, they allowed a good bounce back when they were winning by more than 10 points, in the second game they didn’t accept any appeal from the Cavs and won by 18 points.
At this point, the Cavs already lost the home advantage, something that they needed an entire regular season to achieve. With some lack of team work and chemistry, specially due Read More

Once again, the Magics will host the Hawks. In the first match, the Magics were able to get a blowout win. They won last game 114-71, while their biggest lead during the game was by 46 points. This show how big his the gap between these teams. If in the first quarter the Hawks were able keep the result close, they only were able to repeat it in the last quarter, when the Magics granted their win and made same changes.
The Magics didn´t like how the first quarter ran, with only 2 points lead in the end of it. Read More

The Magics are now in their best moment of the season. They are healthy, as they had the biggest number of days without a game since the beginning of the season. They were able to pack up the Bobcats in 4 games, and are just waiting for the next opponents in their path to the final.
The Hawks had extra work to knock out the Bucks. Even with their best to players out, the Bucks had taken the series to game 7, giving lot´s of work to the Hawks. Their offense is not working properly, as they had some problems against the Bucks, where they were able to control in the paint. However, they will face now the best defensive player in NBA, Howard, and that edge will be no longer in Hawks side. Their defense will Read More

Starting with the home team, the Utah Jazz had a good season. The team finished in 5th position in the Western Conference with a record of 53 wins and 29 losses. At home the team is very strong and has an excellent record of 32-9. The Utah Jazz will receive very good news because they know that Nene will not play. At this point, the Bucks only need one more win to achieve the next step. What seems one of the easiest series of this playoffs, had a big turnover. The Hawks had the home advantage, and many people though that this series could win with a 4-0 for the Hawks. However, after the two first home games, where the Hawks controlled the game, they went to Milwaukee lose two in a row. And if that weren´t bad enough, a tie in the series when they thought that would be easy, they get a loss at home, and are one game away of the elimination. So, at this point, and with 5 of 7 games played, there is only one thing to do for the Hawks. They have to win at Milwaukee, and try to eliminate the Bucks at home in game 7.
Despite the great effort from the Bucks, the truth is that the team is walking in a thin line. They had the edge at home when they faced an arrogant Hawks team, that thought the game was won before the Read More

The Mavericks get the job done in the last game by defeating the Spurs 103-81 as they showed more heart and passion facing a possible elimination game. Obviously I expect the Spurs to bring another kind of effort to the court tonight however I still think that we have some value with Mavericks because 4.5 points will be priceless if this game goes down to the last possession and that’s exactly what I’m expecting for tonight.
Even though the Mavericks have been struggling on the road in the playoffs in the last years the fact is that they have been a better road team this season. They finished the regular season with the Read More

Dallas Mavericks starting lineup are Superstar Dirk Nowitzki, the only player from Dallas who is playing very good and with big heart and fight for that Dallas is not to be eliminated in this Series, Jason Kidd, Caron Butler, Shawn Marion and Erick Dampier and on the bench they have players like Jason Terry, Brendan Haywood, Jose Juan Barea, Eduardo Najera and Roddy Beaubois.
I honestly do not understand how the coach of Dallas has Dampier in the starting lineup when the whole world knows that Brendan Haywood is the better player and also do Read More

Today we will have game 3 in this series, with the Cavaliers leading 2-0. In the first game, thanks to a great start-up, the Cavaliers were able to hold the Bulls all game behind them in the scoreboard. Thanks to it and also to the big edge they had in the rebounds, the Cavaliers were able to achieve a relatively easy win. However, in the second game, the Bulls already showed some feedback, with the scoreboard equalize until the last quarter, where the Cavaliers had again an edge. The Bulls were better on rebounds, committed less 8 TO than the Cavaliers, but weren´t able to hold their accuracy, around 55%, and LeBron James, with 40 points.
The Cavaliers, thanks to the low control they had in the last game, are not big favorites. There will be no big surprise if Read More

This is for me the most unbalanced of all games on this quarterfinal, the great doubt is if the Bulls are able to achieve any victory.
